I wonder if the group knows of the existence of the Oxford Symposium on Food and Cooker, now 32 years old, founded by the late Alan Davidson (author of “The Oxford Companion to Food” and Theodore Zeldin of St Antony’s? I am currently the chair of the Bord of Trustess that administers the group, which is a registered charity. The website is Oxfordsymposium.org.uk, and the next meeting is in July at St Catz, on the subject “Food and Material Culture.”
